Testosterone Decanoate BP/EP

Testosterone decanoate is indicated for treating conditions associated with a deficiency or absence of endogenous testosterone, such as primary and secondary hypogonadism. It helps develop and maintain male sexual characteristics, muscle mass, and bone density.

Administration: As part of the Sustanon mixture, it is administered by deep intramuscular injection, typically one injection every three weeks.
Pharmacology: The decanoate ester has a longer duration of action compared to other forms like testosterone enanthate or cypionate due to its longer fatty acid chain, allowing for less frequent dosing.
Illicit Use: Like other AAS, testosterone decanoate is also abused by bodybuilders and athletes to enhance physical performance and build muscle mass, a practice that carries serious health risks and is discouraged by medical professionals.
Side Effects: Potential side effects of testosterone therapy include acne, hair loss, mood changes, increased red blood cell count (hematocrit and hemoglobin), prostate enlargement, and fluid retention. Abuse, especially at high doses, can cause serious long-term problems related to the cardiovascular system (heart attack, stroke), liver, and mental health.
