Dibutyl Phthalate is a plasticizer used in manufacturing of Resins and polymers such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC). DBP is also used in adhesives, printing inks, sealants, nitrocellulose paints, film coating and glass fibers. DBP is used in cosmetics as follows: a perfume solvents and fixative a lubricants for aerosol valves, an antifomer, skin emollient and a plasticizer in nail polish.
