HEDP – 1-Hydroxy Ethylidene-1, 1-Diphosphonic Acid
1-Hydroxy Ethylidene-1,1-Diphosphonic Acid, also known as HEDP or Etidronic acid, is a phosphonic acid compound used for its scale and corrosion inhibition properties in various industrial applications. It acts as a chelating agent, forming stable complexes with metal ions, and also helps dissolve oxidized materials on metal surfaces.

HEDP is an organic phosphorus acid, scale & corrosion inhibitor. It can chelate with Fe, Cu, and Zn ions to form stable chelating compounds. HEDP has good chemical stability under high pH value, hard to be hydrolyzed, and hard to be decomposed under ordinary light and heat conditions. HEDP is widely used as scale inhibitor, deflocculant, sequestrant and water stabilizer in cooling water systems. HEDP has a greater pH value and is even stable under high temperature. HEDP is a highly effective chelating agent and sequestering agent.
HEDP is a popular EDTA substitute.

Application:-
Hedp Is Used In Low Pressure Boiler, Oil Field Water Pipelines As Scale And Corrosion Inhibition
It Is Used As A Strong Chelating Agent For Metal Ions Like Ca, Mg & Fe In Water Treatment, Textile Application, Sugar Processing, Dyes, Soap & Detergents
In Dyeing Industry, Hedp Is Used As Peroxide Stabilizer And Dye-Fixing Agent
In Non-Cyanide Electroplating, Hedp Is Used As Chelating Agent
Hedp Is Used In The Textile Industry, Used As Metal And Non-Metallic Cleaning Agent
